Hij kreeg de promotie tot Ownership en dit is al een hele tijd een wens van Jorik: 'ik sta hier letterlijk op mijn doel. Ik heb hier zo hard voor gewerkt en om dan de promotie van Ownership te krijgen, is een ongelooflijk gevoel. Ik ben trots op mijn team, zonder hen was het absoluut niet gelukt. Ik wil mijn Promoting Owner, Dennis de Graaf van Infinity Marketing bedankten voor zijn geduld en dat hij altijd in mij is blijven geloven. Het is voor mij een mooie dag en ik ben ontzettend blij dat ik dit vandaag met mijn team en ouders, die hier ook vandaag aanwezig zijn, heb kunnen delen. Ik wil eindigen met: 'elke finish is een nieuwe start'. En ik ben er klaar voor om mijn volgende doelen waar te maken, "vertelt Jorik met een glimlach. De kersverse Owner is meer gemotiveerd dan ooit te voren. "Ik wil het grootste team in Nederland met meer dan 40 man. Zodat ik dan veel mensen mee kan nemen naar Breda en dit wil ik voor de Nederlandse Rally 2011 verwezenlijken, "aldus Jorik.&lt;br /&gt;De weg er naartoe was niet altijd even makkelijk, geeft hij toe; 'in het begin dacht ik van 'dat doen ik wel even', maar uiteindelijk waren er wel wat meer obstakels dan dat ik had verwacht. Ik heb mijn volledige team bijvoorbeeld opnieuw moeten opbouwen. Ik werkte samen met 18 jongens en meisjes, maar iedereen vertrok op twee na. Ik moest snel weer een team opbouwen. Maar dat maakt het juist leuk, je leert omgaan met positieve en negatieve situaties. Ik vond de weg naar mijn promotie in een woord fantastisch."&lt;br /&gt;Op de vraag hoe hij de moeilijke dagen heeft aangepakt antwoordt Jorik; "Het werven van nieuwe klanten ging eigenlijk vanaf het begin goed, maar de trainingen voordat je een Crew Leader of Core leader wordt, vond ik lastiger. Maar dat heb ik nu onder de knie."&lt;br /&gt;De nieuwe owner begon bij Infinity puur om geld te verdienen, maar dit veranderde al snel. "In eerste instantie wilde ik vooral geld verdienen, fun hebben en met leuke collega's samenwerken. Daarna zag ik de doorgroeimogelijkheden en daar was ik gelijk aan verkocht. Ik vind het leuk om bij meetings te presenteren en de trips zijn echt helemaal over de top. Hoe gaaf is het dat ik al meer dan 10 keer in een vijf sterren hotel heb overnacht!&lt;br /&gt;De lange gesprekken met Dennis de Graaf, de Owner van Infinity, over wat ik kon verbeteren waren minder leuk, achteraf blijkt dat ik hier het meest van heb geleerd."verteld Jorik.&lt;br /&gt;Wat Jorik van Rossum dag in dag uit motiveert vertelt hij zelf: "De reden dat ik op sta is mijn team, de mensen op kantoor, de sfeer, de goals die ik voor ogen heb, het geld en de goals van mijn familie.&lt;br /&gt;Mijn jaarplan is vooral veel geld te banken en samen te werken met leuke, enthousiaste mensen die allemaal een goals voor ogen hebben. Hier werken we dan gezamenlijk naar toe. Ik zit in een trein naar succes en die stopt niet. Rond die tijd, ben ik op het station aangesproken door een jongen met de vraag of ik op zoek was naar een baan. Ik had toen niets te verliezen, dus heb ik gesolliciteerd. Tijdens mijn observatiedag zag ik mijn Leader veel geld verdienen en het werk vond ik leuk, dus ik was meteen enthousiast. Om eerlijk te zijn wilde ik alleen maar geld verdienen, omdat ik niet geloofde in de Business Development Programme.&lt;br /&gt;Ik vind het erg leuk om elke dag weer nieuwe mensen te spreken in het veld en ze te overtuigen. Toch twijfelde ik op het begin, maar wat me overtuigd heeft om door te groeien is het zien van de promoties binnen Infinity Marketing. Ik zag mijn vrienden promotie maken en zag de mogelijkheid om een carriere op te bouwen. Ik was tot dat moment niet pro-actief binnen Infinity, ik was op mezelf gefocust. Ik leerde mijn houding te veranderen van ‘ik wil’ naar ‘wij willen’ wat belangrijk is als je een team leidt.&lt;br /&gt;Mijn grootste les is dat alles binnen deze business afhankelijk is van jezelf. Alles is het resultaat van je eigen inzet, je eigen mentaliteit en je eigen persoonlijkheid. Hierdoor kan je meer bereiken als je dat echt wil.&lt;br /&gt;Mijn carriere hoogtepunt was, dat ik op de Nederlandse rally 2010 mocht spreken en alle vriendschappen die ik heb opgebouwd met anderen in de business.&lt;br /&gt;Nu ik Assistent Owner ben, wil ik mijn team beter ontwikkelen en mensen te trainen zodat we het sterkste team van Nederland hebben. Wanneer ik mijn promotie tot Owner haal, wil ik in mijn eerstje jaar heel goed de basis perfectioneren en een goed fundament leggen voro mijn Marketing Company (MC). Ook wil ik leren van de beste en netwerken met de juiste mensen.&lt;br /&gt;Mijn voorbeeld in de business is August Cox Taylor. August en ik hebben dezelfde achtergrond. Hij is nuchter en heeft een heel succesvol jaar achter de rug. Zijn MC, ACT Marketing Direct, verdiende zelfs de award voor Best New MC of 2010 tijden de European Convention. Each week in January and February another Marketing Company (MC) takes the country by storm. Different teams will challenge each other to conclude who is the high rolling team within the Netherlands&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Last year saw the initial development of ‘Road Trip Culture’ within the MC’s and this is set to develop further in 2011: “We can look back on very successful Road Trips in 2010. We had acquired substantial more donors than average and we explored new territories. Road Trips are good for building teams because everyone wants to succeed and they work together.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In 2011 we have a lot of Road Trips planned due to the success of last years and the Independent Contractors (ICs) are ready to take over the Netherlands,” explained Moana Aaldering of Appco Group Nederland.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;For the Dutch ICs the Road Trips really are something to look forward to. These trips with their MC give them the chance to try other fields and pitch their product across the country. Looking back on the start of the Road Trips in 2011 Chero Hamzai of Metamorfose Advertising said: “The start of the Road Trips was fantastic. What I like about Road Trips is that you have the chance to develop your team and get to know each other at the same time. It’s the best way to work on your teambuilding!”&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The Road Trips are done by different MCs four weeks in a row. After Metamorfose Advertising, Infinity Marketing and Blackwater Advertising will be the next MCs that hit the highways of the Netherlands. As the head of the region, James and his team at Appco Group Asia had 3 days of ‘Premier Club’, Owners meetings &amp;amp; Management Meetings organised which provided a mix of knowledge for all attending. With 5 countries now operating in South East Asia (Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia &amp;amp; Philippines) the success can be attributed to many factors – the planning, accountability and enthusiasm of the Owners consistently stood out.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The Netherlands were represented by Country Head James O’Grady, Dennis de Graaf Owner of Infinity Marketing (Best MC of the Year 2010), New MC of the Year Owner Duane Stein of New Legends Marketing ( Best New MC of the year 2010), new Assistant Owner Rik Horeman and Owners Support Unit Manager Lauren O’Brien. Alongside the Dutch delegates were high rolling Owners from the UK, Ireland and Germany.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The meetings were held in the exquisite Marina Bay Sands conference centre with all delegates staying in the wonderful hotel attached. The surroundings and hospitality of the hosts only added to the education received. After visiting the Marketing Companies in Singapore the Dutch delegates were impressed with their high level of professionalism and enthusiasm. Their ‘no fear’ approach allows them to break comfort zones at all levels in the business.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;James O’Grady commented; “At the Owners Meeting, Owners like Kunchada Sa-Ardphanchai inspired me so much. She is no.1 Owner in Thailand and her MC has grown from 7 to 55 ICs in one year! Also stories of new countries opening, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Vietnam and China, amazed me. Over 100 ICs came together on Saturday 18th December in the Regardz, Amsterdam, to be part of the final big event of 2010.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The day started with inspiring speeches of Dutch high rolling Assistant Owners and Owners. After the speeches, the newest Crew Leaders were promoted.&lt;br /&gt;After the promotions, every attendee was looking forward to the biggest prize ever given away by Appco Group Nederland and the Marketing Companies; a Fiat 500! Everyone wondered; who is driving home in a new car? Over the last six months ICs could earn entries to go into the draw to win the car, entries were earned based on sales, quality, success of your team and many other factors. The better you were, the more entries you received.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Joni Dorssers of New Legends Marketing was the lucky IC who drove off in a brand new car. Joni couldn’t believe it when she heard her name. “I still couldn’t believe it when they repeated my name, it finally became real after I got in the car. I feel great, that’s all I can say. The funny thing is; my father took a picture of me and the car at the Dutch Rally 2010. The car was there on stage and I was hoping but didn’t think I would win it. But now I’m going to enlarge the picture,” Joni smiled.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;However, the focus of the day was what everyone could do and learn to make 2011 an absolute success.
